As a longstanding partner in delivering end-to-end retail display solutions for Australia’s leading retail brands, we are proud to deliver displays that stand out in busy retail environments. For the 2024 festive season, Oroton engaged The Print Factory to bring their “Give Well” Christmas campaign to life. The project was a 3-phase rollout of custom-built window displays that combined elevated craftsmanship, structural integrity, and thoughtful design—all tailored to meet the unique challenges of Oroton’s multi-store network.
Phase 1: Precision Craftsmanship with 3D Impact

The first stage introduced stacked 3D display boxes, hand-built from MDF with smooth radius edges—no small task for The Print Factory’s production team. The process required meticulous woodworking, sanding, and hand-painting to achieve Oroton's distinct colour palette and ensure a high-end, flawless finish, in line with the Oroton values.

Each box was custom-built to fit the varying sizes and layouts of Oroton’s storefronts. To maintain consistency, the team conducted on-site screen weight testing and ensured the end result of all displays met structural safety requirements. To complete the look, 3D laser-cut acrylic lettering and vinyl decals featuring Oroton’s “Give Well” campaign messaging were applied to store windows, tying all visual elements together as specified by the Oroton Visual Merchandising team.

Phase 2: Hanging Elements That Draw Attention

Phase two took the campaign to new heights—literally—with the introduction of suspended 3D elements. The Print Factory developed secure hanging structures tailored to Oroton’s store configurations. Each display was custom-fit to ensure stability, even in stores with differing ceiling heights and fixture designs.

The challenge of adapting to multiple store layouts required precision planning and careful execution. From planning to installation, every step was focused on delivering a premium, cohesive look that remained consistent across the national rollout.

Phase 3: The Digital Shift

The final phase introduced a modern touch: the integration of digital LCD screens into the displays. This required The Print Factory to retrofit TV screens into the existing shopfront displays, balancing structural support with visual impact. A custom tracking pole system ensured each screen was securely installed while keeping the look seamless and sophisticated.

This phase marked a shift from static visuals to dynamic content, giving Oroton the flexibility to update campaign messaging in real time. It was a modern addition that elevated the entire experience.

The Challenge: Balancing Custom Craftsmanship and Consistency

The true complexity of this project lay in the need to deliver consistent, premium displays across stores with vastly different layouts and configurations. From curved box edges to custom-sized hanging elements and screen integration, The Print Factory delivered with care. Every display was handcrafted, hand-painted, and custom-fitted to meet the exact specifications of each store.

While the displays were highly custom, they also had to be within budget. The Print Factory struck a balance by reusing materials where possible and ensuring that displays could be repurposed or reconfigured as needed, ensuring longevity and limiting waste post the holiday season. Every store’s shopfront felt like a bespoke installation, but the process remained streamlined and efficient.

A Unified Campaign from Concept to Installation

From concept to completion, The Print Factory’s role went far beyond production. By managing installation, structural integrity, and visual consistency, The Print Factory team delivered a campaign that captured Oroton’s premium brand positioning while keeping the process as streamlined as possible. This 3-phase rollout shows how thoughtful planning, precision craftsmanship, and problem-solving can turn complex retail projects into seamless brand experiences.
